Edward Chiang, BASc

Edward leads sales and finance at Moment. With his experience living with unreliable power when he lived in rural Canada, Edward is responsible for customer acquisition and the company’s strategy to capture share in the off-grid market. In addition, Edward works with investors, government agencies, and grant providers to ensure that Moment has the essential capital to reach future milestones. Prior to Moment, Edward worked in a variety of technical roles, including hardware manufacturing, provincial logistics optimization, and nuclear research for the government of Canada. In 2020, he was selected for NEXT 36, Canada’s premier founder development program, where he led Moment to be awarded Top Social/Sustainable Venture in 2020. 

Edward graduated from SFU with a degree in Mechatronics Systems Engineering. In his free time, he enjoys mentoring young Royal Canadian Air Cadets and flying with his Glider Pilot and Private Pilot’s License.
